Three uses of the Knife

This article was pretty interesting. It talks about how plays, books,. poems, and other artsy things can be used to manipulate the masses through the mediums meaning. This is so obviously true because of things like advertisements, informational documentaries, and propaganda. Propaganda was the first thing that came to my mind while reading the article, even before the author mentioned Nazis. Hitler is well known for using propaganda in various forms of media to get followers, sway his audience to his side. It can be a tear jerking, exciting, and wonderful thing when media strikes a chord in our hearts, but it can also be an awful, terrible, scary thing when evil people find evil uses for media.
