WE ALL SCREEN FOR ISCREEN

I'll be honest and say I never was much of a music video watcher. They never interested me, I always thought they were weird and ruined the images I had in my head from the song itself. It's like when you read a book and the movie based off of it doesn't match what you imagined at all. I liked the story the song told in my head and I never was very interested in seeing it get ruined. That's just me, also lots of music videos just had the band playing and dancing while lip syncing which I never found entertaining. That was my view.

This article brought up a lot of things I never thought of before. By looking through it's history I see that it's not all just weirdness and lip syncing but it's a way for the artist to express the music in a way not seen or thought of before. When done right, it's a way to express the music fully and visually.

Videos are so incredibly accessible now and thanks to youtube, vimeo, and portable video players on our phones now we can see these art forms anytime. This also means that there's a lot of them. The media is so heavily saturated with so many things to see and consume it must be hard to get anything through.
