(Elijah Robinson) Consumerism

Buy me! Buy me! Buy me! Okay. We get it; our money is the driving force behind your revenue (or is that too subtle). I do not find that too many advertisements affect me really, but that's mostly because I have like zero million dollars. Come on! Really! I mean saying that products are singularly responsible for peoples happiness (Kanye West must be very happy. But, I guess cool guys don't smile.) Wow that Freak of the Week video was amazingly done. Like a Disney cartoon for punk rockers. Another great visual effect> live Photoshop. Holy crap! How in the heck did do that. Nevertheless, it was a powerful statement, showing just how distorted body image is, we seem to feel that the world is upside down when we see unaltered photos. Having been acclimated to perfected images, we'll pay anything for products marketed to get our (obviously abnormal flaws to disappear till we look like that.) Because we’ve been told that, it’s more desirable to look alien. I mean whoa! What would happen if we were told it's better to be natural. That would be a huge loss to make-up manufacturers and seller of all kinds, because it's unpatentable. Kind of like a Natural cure for cancer.
