The "I'm Alive" music video by Don Fardon was especially interesting to me on the topic of redemption. It sent a powerful message because past a certain age, most people expect you to be quiet and sit in a retirement home, not bothering anyone. However, this video challenges that expectation.
Everybody in this retirement home where you expected to die alone eventually ends up joining in a wild dance party, which is quite arguably the opposite of dying alone. This is so significant because it shows us that there is even redemption at this point in life for the elderly, despite popular opinion.
The music videos on redemption have been incredibly unique to me because most of the videos we have watched have proved their points with tragic endings, or cynical outlooks on an aspect of society. However, these videos chose to use the opposite route, which is quite intriguing.
