Violence and Video Games
My opinion on this matter is sort of neutral. I think parents need to use discretion when letting kids play video games, not because the violence may make them violent, but because a lot of the stuff is just morally wrong. Some children may not be affected by such violence in games because they know there's a time for fantasy and a time for real life, but perhaps some kids have blurred lines for whatever reason. I played violent games growing up, and still do occasionally, but I know the difference between how to behave in real life and that a game is just a game. I think parents need to make sure they know what games their children are buying, the content of the games, and if they think their child is capable of understanding what is happening in the game.
