The past 25 years of changing media
People such as the late Steve Jobs, and Bob Iger have changed they way we use our technology. Everyone knows the great achievements that Steve Jobs made for use. The technology he made is still being created and still being revolutionized. He left a big impact on the tech world, and an even bigger impact on people's every day lives. Bob Iger played a big role in the entertainment world. Being CEO of Disney, he has made great purchases that has made Disney succeed. Because of him, Pixar, Marvel, and now Lucas Films are all under Disney. With this, Disney controls a lot of the movie entertainment world. (Which is kinda scary...) But, I think that in the past ten years two men have made an extraordinary impact on people and the way they use technology Mark Zukerberg of Facebook, and Reed Hasting of Netflix.. Facebook. Everybody and their grandma uses Facebook. It truly is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, unfortunately, younger people think its not longer cool. I use to think that in high school. Now, only out of high school for a little while, I realize just how amazing Facebook is. I can still keep up with my friends and see what they are doing. Which is really awesome! Facebook seems like it as been with us forever, but it is actually pretty new still. It is just a little over ten years old. I don't think Facebook is going anywhere anytime soon. Netflix. Oh my! Netflix is probably the greatest thing to come to us in the past 10 years, maybe even the past 25 years. When I was in grade school it was the coolest thing ever to have Netflix. I mean, movies sent in the mail! And you got to keep that for as long as you wanted!! And to make matters even cooler, they added streaming!!! But, one awful day, Netflix made people decide. Did you want to pay for movies in the mail, streaming, or both. And honestly, both was kind of expensive. So my family had a sit down meeting and decided to go with steaming, and at the time, seemed like maybe that wasn't the right way to go. At that time we only had one laptop that was able to steam. But with time, Netflix was everywhere. On game consoles, fancy TVs, and even phones! Now I use Netflix all the time. So, now I can watch a Disney movie, through Netflix, on my Apple I-phone, and afterwards share it on Facebook to my friends and family. Don't we live in such an amazing time?
