This assignment was not too bad for me. This may be in part to the fact that knowing I was doing the assignment I started avoiding Facebook and other social media more than normal. I also spend a lot of time just reading books, most of which don't have a lot of product placement, aside from that particular book, which is part of the House of Night Series. The results are not too suprising for me. I don't watch TV outside of things on Netflix and I'm not out and about that much too be exposed to billboards and things, but I did become more conscious of house much media is in our lives, especially in the form of advertisement. Advertisements are everywhere and are really hard to escape. Even when you're just sitting in your home a notifaction on your phone may end up just being an advertisement to play a game you downloaded but have not touched in awhile. Or in a game you already paid for they are trying to sell you more stuff with an in-game store. Advertisements are so annoying.
